Mixed feelings...

I have mixed feelings about this fan. On the plus side, it's relatively quiet, moves a lot of air, has an energy-efficient DC motor, and is constructed of heavier components than typical fans. On the negative side, the glass light cover rattles when the fan is running, the wall control is ugly (and is not compatible with other fan wall controls), and the light control/dimmer often doesn't work at all. Worst of all, one year after installation it stopped working altogether. Since it was still under warranty, I was sent a free replacement remote receiver, which required me to completely disassemble the fan in order to install it, and once installed, it still didn't work. I'll update this review once I get the issue resolved, but based on my experience so far, I'd say that any energy savings have been nullified by the amount of effort spent getting it to operate properly. I never had this experience with even the cheapest non-DC motor fans.
